Description:
Current hospital CVOR ST experience required. WE 7a-7p + 1/7a-3p during the week
Assists in patient care and preparation of surgical patient by performance of routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the hospital and department. Performs scrub duties and related procedures. Assists in patient care and preparation of surgical patient by performance of routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the hospital and department. Performs scrub duties and related procedures. Assists with circulating duties under direct supervision of the RN circulator assigned to the patient. Assists with cleaning and maintenance supplies and equipment as required.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Minimum Education: High School/GED.
Preferred Education: Two Year Degree.
Preferred number of years in field: 2.
High school graduate. Graduate of S.T. Technology program (1 year O.R. Tech or O.R. Tech for LVNs) or at least two years recent experience as a S.T. in an acute care hospital. Graduate of an accredited LVN program desirable. Texas LVN licensure (or application pending) desirable. Certification as a Surgical Technician (C.S.T.) must be obtained within three months of employment.
